A 2020 Invitation
A 2020 Invitation
Happy New Year! People all over our city and globe love the hope a new year brings because we ultimately desire what Jesus offers; a fresh start, a clean slate, and a new chance! “If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.” (2 Corinthians 5:17, ESV). That is radical grace! Paul writes in that same letter, “Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.” (2 Corinthians 3:17).
Does anyone desire more freedom in 2020? More of the One who makes all things new? Are you hungry for a breakthrough? And more opportunities to encounter the love that changes everything?
You are invited to a special evening on Friday, January 31, to hear real-life stories of freedom from local women.
From Kim:
I was saved at a young age. My father is a pastor, so I’ve been in church all my life. And while I’ve always believed the truth of the gospel, if I’m honest, God always seemed distant to me. There were definitely times in my life when I felt very close to the Lord and heard His voice clearly, but I didn’t have an intimate relationship with Jesus. So many things in my life were done out of religious obligation. When the perfect storm of trials in my life left me drowning in depression and anxiety, I found myself in a desperate place…then…then Jesus!!! I had an Encounter with Jesus on Jan 6, 2019, that forever changed me. I am amazed at how much my life and the life of my family has changed in one short year. When asked to summarize a bit of my story, immediately I heard in my spirit ”awakening and empowering the church.” This is the time we are living in…this is what the Lord is doing in His bride all over the world…and that’s what He did in my life. He awakened me to His fullness and empowered me with the filling of the Holy Spirit! I can’t wait to tell you the rest of the story.
From Judy:
There came a time in my life when all of my religious understanding of God was not enough. In the face of real crisis, I needed His presence. I needed to be where He was moving and working. I was desperate for the Comforter to reach deep into my pain and grief. And so I chased Him down and found He was waiting for me there; He had prepared a table for me, a feast of His presence and grace…and I have never been the same again. My greatest desire for the dear women who are present at Our City Story is that they will each encounter the Holy Spirit. I pray we would all experience His presence and compassionate love. His perfect love will drive out every fear. His perfect love will pour over like a waterfall, cleansing and filling, and perfectly refreshing.
So please come … hear the rest of their stories and how the Lord connected them to help one another. To God be the Glory! We’ll enjoy live worship and a night of seeking more of Jesus! His presence will be there. Your presence matters!
All women 16+ welcome. Free event. No RSVP required. Bring yourself! Bring a friend! Water provided!
“Listen! Are you thirsty for more? Come to the refreshing waters and drink.” (Isaiah 55:1, TPT)
