Education Prayer: Blessing our Superintendents
May our Lord Jesus Christ Himself and God our Father, who loved us and by His grace gave us eternal encouragement and good hope, encourage your hearts and strengthen you in every good deed and word.” II Thes. 2:16-17
As we focus on the Mountain of Education, we bless our school Superintendents. We ask You, Lord, to guide each of them and their Boards, enabling them to be the voice of encouragement and wisdom to our principals, teachers, parents and students. We thank You for their commitment and hard work as they strive to provide a quality education that prepares all children for a successful future. Cause them to know and believe that Your plans and purposes for our childrens’ futures are the best! (Jer. 29:11)
We bless:
Casey Wardynski (4th year) – Huntsville City Schools: oversees 7 high schools, 5 middle schools, 21 elementary schools, 5 P-8 schools and 64 pre-K programs for more than 23,000 students
Dee Fowler (7th year) – Madison City Schools: oversees 2 high schools, 2 middle schools, and 7 elementary schools serving 9,300 students
Matt Massey (first year) – Madison County Schools: oversees 5 high schools, 1 ninth grade school, 5 middle schools, 14 elementary schools, the Pace school and Career Tech serving 20,000 students
We pray these leaders will listen to Your Words and know according to Prov. 1:2-4 “Their purpose is to teach people wisdom and discipline, to help them understand the insights of the wise. Their purpose is to teach people to live disciplines and successful lives, to help them do what is right, just and fair. Their purpose is to give insight to the simple, knowledge and discernment to the young.” (NLT)
