Prayers for Our City: April 13, 2020 – Business/Economy

With grateful hearts, we thank You for the wealth of resources, intellect, and talent that You have given to our Huntsville/Madison County business community. As the pandemic restrictions carry on, we cry out to You on behalf of our business owners (and all they employ) for faith to trust Your grace and power to keep them standing, especially all our small business owners. Give our Marketplace leaders the ability, like the tribe of Issachar, to have knowledge and understanding of the time and season we are in and how to maneuver through this economic pause/reset. Grant our local, state, and national leaders Your guidance and humility to follow.

During this time of uncertainty, look into our community and the hearts of those in the Marketplace. Shine Your light in the area of business and enable owners/managers to take a second look at their businesses to make sure they are following Your principles of righteousness, justice, and generosity. Give our business leaders and entrepreneurs new ideas, witty inventions, and new ways of doing old tasks. Bless them with greater ability to handle money well; to see what’s important to spend money o and what is not. Give them the needed faith and hope to keep their businesses running and to bless their employees.

Praise You, Lord, for those companies who are willing and able to step in to help win this war as they produce ventilators, shields, PPE, and hand sanitizer. Give strength and provision to those businesses that are working hard to keep up with the demands for food and other essentials. Reward them as only You can.

We humbly submit to all You are doing during this time of great pause, but we also know this coronavirus has no right to be here. In Jesus’ Name, we evict lack and sickness from our businesses and homes. We pray/declare sudden blessings are coming to the Marketplace, to our economy, and we thank You for health, sudden wealth, and revelation. Let there be an explosion of God in our Marketplace, in Jesus’ Name!

Lord, we are expecting a great Harvest of souls in 2020 and beyond, and that requires resources. We pray against the enemy’s schemes to create fear and lack that would shift the national/global economy in a wrong direction.

6. Renewed entrepreneurial spirit
7. Strong work ethic
8. Freedom from fear in business decisions and transactions

You provide for us. You are our Healer. You are our Peace. You are our Protector. There is nothing we can ever need that You do not give us. Lord, give me new vision for Provision! New strategies!

I will shake off worry, discouragement, and disinterest.

I will pick up the plow once again!
