Prayers for Our City: April 8, 2019 – Media
Then Caleb silenced the people before Moses and said, “We should go up and take possession of the land, for we can certainly do it.” But the men who had gone up with him said, “We can’t attack those people; they are stronger than we are.” Numbers 13:30-31 NIV
Those who report the news can change the destiny of an entire city or nation with one fear-producing report. We cry out to You, Father, on behalf of our Media. Grant favor to and protect those on the Media Mountain that have the spirit of Caleb; who can report the facts and call people to courage and inspired action. Cause the Body of Christ to depend on You, Holy Spirit, to filter out fear and keep our Kingdom perspective when hearing reports that imply we are small and helpless.
We are small in comparison to the problems and issues of our day, but we don’t face the battles alone. God, You are with us – that makes us big enough to face and obey and accomplish whatever You say. We don’t want to have more faith in the enemy than we do in You, our Mighty God. Remind us, Holy Spirit, to respond to news reports with faith and courage as we pray concerning the giants in the land and seek You for guidance in taking the land.
We bless the news reporters of Huntsville/Madison County with the courage and confidence of Caleb!
