Prayers for Our City: April 24, 2017 – Chamber of Commerce

“May the favor of the Lord our God rest on us; establish the work of our hands for us….” Psalms 90:17

Father, as we pray for our Huntsville/Madison County Chamber of Commerce, we realize they often deliver the first impression of our region to prospective businesses and families. As they serve in this capacity, we bless them with a genuine friendliness and concern for the needs of others. (Ephesians 4:29)

Our Chamber of Commerce is the hub for the economic affairs of our business community. So we bless Chip Cherry, President and CEO, and his staff, along with Joe Newberry, Board Chairman and the Board of Directors with an Isaiah 11 anointing – that the Spirit of the Lord would rest on them and that their work would exhibit wisdom, understanding, counsel, strength, knowledge and the fear of the Lord.

May the training seminars, business expos, workforce recruiting, networking opportunities, and forums provided to the Chamber’s 2,100+ membership grow and improve our local economy as You “establish the work of their hands.”

Father, we pray your protection and guidance over the annual Chamber of Commerce D.C. trip that over 150 of our business and elected leaders will participate in April 30 – May 2. As they meet with congressional delegations and key federal agency leaders give them a clear voice and favor as they advocate important issues that impact our region.
We also lift up the Madison Chamber of Commerce, headed by Exec. Director Pam Honeycutt, serving 1300+ businesses in the city of Madison http://www.madisonalchamber.net/.

Thank You for blessing Huntsville/Madison County with such an abundance of brilliant minds in the engineering, research, and business fields. We acknowledge these are gifts from You.

“Remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you the ability to produce wealth..” Deut. 8:18
