Prayers for Our City: February 12, 2018 – LOVE
“As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love. John 15:9
As we head toward Valentine’s Day activities this week, we stop to thank You, Jesus, for being the love of our lives – for showing us what real love looks and acts like. We pray for those today among our family and friends that need to fall in love with You or to have their first love passion for You rekindled.
We pray that our marriages will be strengthened and be a living example of the kind of love You have for Your church. We lift up dating and engaged couples for Your Hand of protection and purity to cover their growing love relationship. We pray for singles’ hearts to be engulfed in Your love and joy. We ask that You divinely impact our teens and children with the truth and proof of Your love for them and with living examples of God’s way of love and romance.
This Valentine’s Day we ask for faith to pray a big prayer (and obedience to be Your answer): that no one in Huntsville/Madison County will feel alone and unloved. May the Body of Christ be so filled and focused on Your great Love that it overflows and touches everyone and every aspect of culture!
