Prayers for Our City: February 24, 2020 – Education

We pray this week, Lord, for Your blessing and favor on the Collegiate Day of Prayer (CDOP) this Thursday, February 27, as believers across the nation unite as one to cover every campus in America in prayer. [Please visit Collegiate Day of Prayer to sign up to pray for your alma mater and/or some of our local universities. The current number of campuses adopted 2,575 while 1,748 remain unadopted.]
From CDOP website: “In a period when division and even hostility is at a peak, we are praying for the single unanswered request of Christ’s: that we may be ONE even as Jesus and the Father are ONE. On this special day of prayer for colleges, we beseech the ONE and only son of God that the church would be united and not divided as the world. We join as ONE in agreement so that our requests will be answered by the living God. We come as ministers of reconciliation and peace who tear down walls of hostility.
Let us be in ONE accord, both mind and heart and spirit. If a number of people do something with one accord, they do it together or at the same time, because they agree about what should be done. So we join together as ONE on February 27 and agree for God to visit our university campuses and every student and professor. May the name of the Lord be glorified in each person’s life and may that be evident on every college campus in America!”
