Prayers for Our City: July 23, 2018 – Family
“Your sons and daughters will proclaim my message;”
Acts 2:17
Father God, we unite in prayer to bless the Millennials (the generation in their 20’s & 30’s).
Lord, we (the upper generations) want our words and lives to bless and encourage them. We ask You, Father, to forgive and help us change the critical stereotyping and judgments among the upper generations toward the millennials. We ask You to give us Your perspective and Your compassion for this generation, and humble hearts that will listen. Help us step up and be spiritual fathers and mothers giving consistent mentoring because we see and believe in them.
May we teach them how to steward passion and never let it die; how to have families in this age that are a sign and a wonder; how to study the Bible – the basics of the Faith that will keep them going!
They have treasure inside them – gifts that You have placed in them, God. We ask You to make us good treasure hunters – to identify and call forth what we see in them so they will believe they are valuable and that You have big plans for them. We appreciate what they bring to us and to the world at this time! Help us run with them!
We trust Your grace, loving Father, to “turn the hearts of the fathers to their children and the hearts of children to their fathers.” Malachi 4:6 ESV
