Prayers for Our City: June 25, 2018 – Media
“O LORD my God, you have performed many wonders for us.
Your plans for us are too numerous to list.
You have no equal. If I tried to recite [report] all your wonderful deeds,
I would never come to the end of them.” Psalm 40:5 NLT
Father, as we pray and speak blessing over the Media Mountain of Huntsville/Madison County, we believe that You are placing great desire in our media representatives to discern Your ways, Your wonders, Your thoughts. Give them joy in discovering and reporting the modern day signs and wonders You are performing in our midst.
Father, we thank You for giving our media reporters/producers wisdom to know when to release a story and when to wait or even refrain. We cover our media teams with Your mercy and compassion so that when they are tempted to present news in a sensational or slanted light, they will be able to see the damage that will bring to the individual(s) involved. Continue to grant our media leaders the ability to design news programs which report news in ways that generate justice and care; and that avoid glorifying violence, lawlessness, and hopelessness.
