Prayers for Our City: March 16, 2020 – Health Care
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.” Philippians 4:6 ESV
Our united prayer focus this week, Lord, is to ask You to fortify and protect all those in Huntsville/Madison County who are involved in health care for our community. They need Your help to problem-solve out of Your wisdom and peace rather than in crisis mode. As we think of hospital and nursing home administrators, and also our civic, school and business leaders that we look to for the welfare of our citizens, we thank You, Lord Jesus, that You are with them as we ask that Your rod and staff lead and comfort them.
We bless CEO Pam Hudson of Crestwood Medical center, CEO David Spillers of Huntsville Hospital, President Mary Lynne Wright of Madison Hospital and their Boards, physicians, nurses and the many staff members of our hospitals and doctors’ offices. So thankful that we have Your Word, Your Blood, and Your Mercy to declare over our health care providers/facilities, school, businesses, churches, and homes. We pray Psalm 91 protection over all.
As we humble ourselves in repentance and adoration, let our worship and faith rise to You, Almighty God! We cast down the fear of disease and the fear of lack that wants to grip our hearts and the communities of this nation. We walk in the opposite Spirit using our faith and all the weapons of warfare to stand against fear. It’s time to sing, Church, to the One who is Savior, Healer, Deliverer, and Lord of all! Join in this chorus: Raise a Hallelujah.
“The fear of the Lord is a fountain of life, that one may turn away from the snares of death.” Proverbs 14:27 ESV
May Your people release Your hope and love everywhere! We pray that those who are fearful and do not know You will have an opportunity to hear the Good News. Turn this crisis into our opportunity!
