Prayers for Our City: March 25, 2019 – Government

Lord, we bless every government official who will be meeting in our city this week and the important information, planning
Please pray as Holy Spirit leads over these three future-impacting events:
1. Vice President Mike Pence will chair the fifth meeting of the National Space Council at Huntsville’s Space and Rocket Center on March 26 which will focus on President Trump’s plan to restore American leadership in space. The council will hear from two expert panels made up of former astronauts, scientists, and a retired Air Force General talking about the future of America in space; return to the moon and travel to Mars and deep space. 2. Another big event going on March 26-28 is the U.S. Army’s AUSA Global Force Symposium and Exposition. This AUSA Institute of Land Warfare professional development forum, held at the Von Braun Center, marks the sixth consecutive year the symposium has taken place in Huntsville, home of more than 900 defense contractors and a military workforce of uniformed and civilian personnel totaling over 65,000.
Special presentations coupled with panel discussions from senior military and industry leaders will address readiness, modernization, sustainment, equipping the force, acquisition, and research and development. [see
3. In conjunction with the symposium, The American Freedom Foundation will host the 6th Annual Warriors To The Workforce–Huntsville presented in association with Still Serving Veterans on Wednesday, March 27 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the North Hall of the center.
The event will bring together companies from throughout the country to profile their services and provide employment opportunities for our veterans, transitioning service members and military spouses. [View the Warriors To The Workforce promotional video here.]
