Prayers for Our City: March 4, 2019 – Arts & Entertainment

Thanking You, Father God, for the global movement of prayer for the Arts & Entertainment Industry. What God has been doing in Hollywood was highlighted on a recent prayer conference call with Intercessors for America (www.ifapray.org). We praise You, Father, that there are those who are using their God-given gifts and talents within the Hollywood community to bring hope, truth, love, and Jesus to the culture around them.  [Watch the 6-minute video here ]. 

We realize, Lord, how strongly Hollywood influences the culture and we pray for the 10,000+ Christians who work there to be strengthened in sharing their faith with co-workers. We ask that more Christians be moved into decision-making positions in Hollywood. Forgive the Church for having been critical, hateful, and afraid of Hollywood, and grant us faith to pray and believe for a great change in the Hollywood culture that will bring You glory God through their creative work. May divisive politics become less pervasive in the industry, shifting to be more kind and truthful.

We pray blessings over the creativity of those here in Huntsville/Madison County involved in theater,  film making, and writing. We ask You, Lord, to increase creativity in our children and youth in this entertainment-driven world today. Lord, may a new spirit of innovation and creativity come upon the young that is based upon Your Love. Father, we are praying that You would do something extraordinary among our young artists and performers! Would You raise up Christians with a love for the arts who would invest in the next generation – both financially and also as coaches, professors, and teachers who will help our young people navigate this arena with safety and wisdom.  Pray for those you know who are involved in this mentoring process. Here are just a few to bless:

We realize one of the best ways to share our witness today is to play out the message of Christ’s love artistically in front of this lost and thirsty nation.  We’re praying for those You’ve created to express their artistic talents in ways that bring great glory to You!
