Prayers for Our City: May 21, 2018 – Business
Turn Your ear to me, come quickly to my rescue; be my rock of refuge, a strong fortress to save me. Psalm 31:2 NIV
We praise You, Father, for being the One who comes quickly to our rescue; that You always hear our cry. But we also thank You for those committed to coming quickly to the rescue when residents of Huntsville/Madison County call for help. In recognition of the National Emergency Medical Services week, we bless HEMSI, Madison County’s not-for-profit emergency medical services provider who cover 350,000 residents in 1,000 square miles. We pray safety, calmness, and wisdom for the 250 dedicated employees serving from 14 stations who make over 50,000 calls per year. Father, this is one of those services we are so glad is available, but we never want to use. Anoint these servants with great compassion as they seek to comfort and bring quick medical attention to those in need. Remind them to call on You in the midst of each crisis.
Thank You for the leadership of Jon Howell, Chief Exec. Officer; Don Webster, Chief Operations Officer; and Dr. Sherrie Squyres, Medical Director; as well as the oversight from the seven-member Board of Directors led by Mr. David Blair, President.
Father, as Your people who pray over the needs and affairs of this community, we ask to be just as quick to respond whenever we hear the siren of an emergency response vehicle to call out to You to rescue those in need and give great grace to those responding.
Hear my prayer, LORD; listen to my cry for mercy. Psalm 86:6
