Prayers for Our City: September 24, 2018 – Education
“I fall on my knees before the Father.” Ephesians 3:14 GNB
We praise You, Lord, for this Global Week of Student Prayer (Sept. 23-29) with the key event, See You at the Pole, on Wed. Sept. 26. [website info. http://syatp.com]. This year’s theme, based on Ephesians 3:14, is calling each student to fall on their knees before You, Father. May they encounter Your heart of love and hope for them and for those they are praying for!
We pray Your blessing and protection over the middle and high school prayer events happening across our nation and the world this week! Thank You, Father, for how this movement has spread, and now more than 3 million students from all over the world participate in this prayer event. May our younger generation be filled with faith and committed to prayer. Continue to birth Bible clubs, weekly prayer meetings, and other ministries on campuses where students pray. We recommit ourselves to cry out to You, Lord, to enable our Christian students to navigate their way through the issues that conflict with their biblical faith in their school system.
[Be sure your middle and high school students find out about SYAP at their school.]
Enable our Christian students to make the most of this unique opportunity to share their faith. May their unsaved friends take notice, ask questions, and be invited to Christian youth follow-up events to meet You, Jesus. We pray for leaders to be raised up from the youth at every school to keep the fire burning. Give them new and unique ways, places, and times to pray throughout the week.
Be glorified as You establish a youth culture of prayer at our public, private and home schools in Huntsville/Madison County!
“The sacrifice You desire is a broken spirit. You will not reject a broken and repentant heart, O God.” Psalm 51:17 NLT
We fall to our knees before You, Father, on behalf of our youth!
