“Restoration” by Brittany Bentley-Brown
Restoration… What is it?
The act of returning something to its former owner, place, or condition.
What does it look like?
Repeatedly throughout the Bible, God blesses people for their faith and hardships by making up for their losses and giving them more than they previously had before.
See, God knows we have hardships and make bad decisions that sometimes place us in situations where we experience loss, humiliation and sometimes sickness; but God restores!!
He is a God of restoration.
Restoration for me may not look the same for you.
My struggle may be anxiety, your struggle may be depression.
My struggle may be lying, your struggle may be pornography.
My struggle may be addiction, your struggle may be unforgiveness.
My struggle may be infidelity, your struggle may be unbelief.
Whatever it is, the Bible contains the mind of God, the state of man, the way of salvation, the doom of sinners, and the happiness of believers. Its doctrines are holy, its precepts are binding, its histories are true, and its decisions are immutable.
Read it to be wise, believe it to be like a light to direct you, food to support you and comfort to cheer.
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to His purpose.” ~Romans 8:28 NIV

Brittany Bentley Brown is a wife and a mother to four beautiful children. She currently lives in Huntsville, Alabama, but she is originally from Chicago, Illinois where at a young age she felt a pull toward Jesus Christ and a love for the church. She is currently a member of the Branch Family Worship Center under the leadership of pastors John and Debbie Wilson. She volunteers at the Huntsville Pregnancy Resource Center where she serves as a client advocate showing the love of God and sharing the good news of Jesus Christ.
Like David, Brittany just wants to serve God’s purpose in her generation – communicating her experiences, knowledge, and her life as an example to others. Her life’s purpose is to make a great commitment to always keep God in the center of her life, to flush out worry and fill up with peace, to drive out chaos and keep the peace, and to always exemplify Christ-like behavior. Her favorite scripture is Matthew 6:33. Seek the kingdom of God above all else and live righteously, and He will give you everything you need.
